Who we are: Pembroke Historical Society is located in Pembroke New Hampshire. Suncook Village is also part of Pembroke NH.
What we do: Committed to bringing the history of our town to those who want to learn from our past, which is why we provide programs for every age and interest.
Membership and Donations: We rely solely on the contributions from the general public and the efforts of volunteers to carry out our work. While our many of our events are free and all are open to everyone, donations from our events and memberships allows us to continue to exist. Membership privileges include notice of scheduled events and a voice in the society agenda. Members from any location are encouraged to attend events, be on our board, and to contribute.
Events: Speakers (ex. Rebecca Rule, History of the Concord Coach, Robert Cofran: Pembroke Resident who fought at the Alamo), Walking Tours (Whittemore Town Forest, The Homestead), Musicians (Jeff Warner, Lucie Therrien), Outreach (Boston Post Cane, Historical tour of town for 6th graders at TRS, Cooperation with Pembroke Academy’s 200th Anniversary), Oral History Projects
